Dear Cornwall Area Parents and Guardians,
First Student, Inc., one of the bus companies that provides transportation to the local school boards, is in labour negotiations with its Cornwall employees. Recently, First Student employees in Cornwall voted in favour of going on strike, should an agreement between the employees and the bus company not be reached.
All parties remain hopeful that a resolution will be reached and that a strike will be avoided, however First Student employees will be in a legal strike position as of Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023.
STEO wants to ensure that families are aware how this could impact them. The following routes will be cancelled in the event of strike action.
